Lincoln Park Borough (07035) is located in eastern Morris County, NJ. The community has a total area of 7 square miles and has approximately 4,100 housing units. The Borough offers an easy commute to NYC and lies between the Pompton and Passaic Rivers. The community has a town center along Route 202 with small shops and restaurants as well as a train station. The Pompton River has a history of overflowing with heavy rains and a number of homes and neighborhoods along the river are located in a flood zone. The community has a mixture of homes from various time periods including single and multi-family dwellings. Housing developments and neighborhoods include: Lynn Park, Comley Estates, Jecksonville, White Oak Estates, Woodmont Estates, Buckingham Estates, and Rock Ridge Estates. John Dods Tavern, circa 1770, was noted by Washington in correspondence to his officers and was a popular stop for Continental Troops en route to West Point from Morristown.

Commute

Lincoln Park Borough has easy access to NJ Route 23 for an eastbound commute. The Borough has a train station on the NJ Transit Montclair-Boonton Line which offers direct service to Hoboken Terminal. Passengers can transfer to another train or bus before Hoboken for a Midtown Manhattan commute. At Hoboken Terminal, passengers can switch to the PATH to reach NYC. Lakeland Bus Lines provides service from Lincoln Park to NY Port Authority Terminal in NYC. During rush hour, the bus ride takes about 50 minutes. The Lincoln Park Airport is a privately-owned public-use airport located about two miles north of the town's business district.

Schools

The Lincoln Park Public School District serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade. There are two schools in the district: Elementary School (K-4) and Middle School (5-8). High School students (9-12) attend Boonton High School in Boonton Town.

The Lincoln Park Recreation Department offers a wide variety of recreational and social activities for residents of all ages. Activities include Kids Night Out, Running Club, Yoga, Basketball Leagues, and Mommy & Me Classes at the Community Center. There are numerous parks located in the Borough which include Borough Field, John Street Park, and Willow Street Park. Lincoln Park Airport is a privately owned, public use airport located two miles north of the central business district of Lincoln Park. The Sunset Pub & Grill is right next to the airport and features a good view of the airport's runway from the restaurant where you can sit outside and watch the planes take off and land.
